The Section of
Botany is responsible for
the core undergraduate subjects: General Botany, Plant Systematic, Plant
Physiology as well as other postgraduate subjects. Their research focuses on
the study of terrestrial and aquatic flora and vegetation (algae, mushrooms,
mosses, ferns, lichens, gymnosperms and angiosperms), environmental protection,
biodiversity loss, pollution and the natural risks. Traditionally, in plant
physiology there are studied the influence of growth regulators in economically
important plants. The Section has two laboratories as well as microscopes,
stereomicroscopes, photospektrometer, centrifuges, thermostats, balances,
refrigerators.
