OBJECTIVE:

The aim of the Postgraduate School "Electrochemistry of Corrosion Process and Surface Phenomena" is to qualify graduated in Chemistry Branches, extending their knowledge in such fundamental subjects as Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Surface Phenomena, and their application in Corrosion and Protection of metals.
It would serve for transmitting the experience of the staff of Chemistry Department, in scientific research and to stimulate the interest of assistants for continuing research in these fields.
Engineers working in gas and oil production industry , chemical industry, marine environment etc could have the possibility to attend this school.

In particular students will be able to implement a research thesis for the degree of "Doctor in Chemistry". The diploma of postgraduate school is a prerequisite for the degree of "Doctor in Science".

The postgraduate programme leads to a Diploma of Profound Studies in Chemistry:

"Diploma of Advanced Postgraduate Studies in Chemistry,
Speciality: Electrochemistry of Corrosion Process and Surface Phenomena"

GENERAL INFORMATION

Postgraduate School "Electrochemistry of Corrosion Process and Surface Phenomena" (PGS- EC/SP) is managed by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences at University of Tirana.
All activity of PGS-EC/ SP is in accordance with legislation and regulations for postgraduate qualification and postgraduate education in Republic of Albania and respective rules of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana.

Curricula of the school is based on the long experience in teaching and research of the staff of Chemistry Department and to their qualification in several European Centers studding Corrosion and Protection of metals.

An important contribution in the development of PGS-EC/SP is TEMPUS Project CD_JEP-15042-2000 (ALB), realized with the collaboration of the University of Applied Sciences, Iserlohn, Germany. particularly in the development of curricula, training of staff and students, preparation and publication of teaching materials and updating of laboratories.
